Part of the job of serving on City Council is to represent Asheville on various boards and commissions. One of the regional boards City Council appointed me to serve on is the French Broad River Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), which includes all county and municipal governments located within Buncombe, Henderson and Haywood County. The purpose of the MPO is to work with the NC Department of Transportation (DOT) to establish plans and priorities for transportation improvements in our region.
